When the German E+H level sensor is immersed to a certain depth in the measured liquid, the pressure on the sensor's pressure-receiving surface is calculated by the formula:
Ρ = ρ·g·H + Po
Where:
- P: Pressure on the pressure-receiving surface of the transmitter
- ρ: Density of the measured liquid
- g: Local gravitational acceleration
- Po: Atmospheric pressure on the liquid surface
- H: Depth at which the transmitter is immersed in the liquid
Meanwhile, the liquid pressure is introduced into the positive pressure chamber of the sensor through a gas-conducting stainless steel tube, and the atmospheric pressure Po on the liquid surface is connected to the negative pressure chamber of the sensor to offset Po on the back of the sensor. Thus, the pressure measured by the sensor is: ρ·g·H. Obviously, the liquid level depth can be obtained by measuring the pressure P.
- High stability: Long-term stability of full scale and zero point can reach 0.1%FS/year. Within the compensation temperature range of 0–70℃, the temperature drift is less than 0.1%FS; within the entire allowable operating temperature range, it is less than 0.3%FS.
- Protective circuits: Equipped with reverse polarity protection and current-limiting protection circuits. Incorrect connection of positive and negative poles during installation will not damage the transmitter; in abnormal situations, the transmitter will automatically limit the current to within 35mA.
- Solid-state structure: No moving parts, high reliability, and long service life.
- Easy installation: Simple structure, cost-effective, and durable.
- Measurement range
- Technology: Optional (diffused silicon, ceramic capacitor, sapphire, capacitor)
- Power supply: 7.5–36VDC (24VDC recommended)
- CBM-2100/CBM-2700 submersible hydrostatic level transmitter:
A probe with reliable corrosion resistance and a ceramic measuring unit, used for level measurement of clean water, sewage, and saltwater.
Hydrostatic level transmitters are pressure sensors (transmitters) used for hydrostatic level measurement. Gangbei Company can provide three types:
- Outer diameter = 22mm (0.87in): Suitable for measuring drinking water and small-diameter pipelines.
- Outer diameter = 42mm (1.66in): Heavy-duty probe with a flush diaphragm for easy cleaning, suitable for sewage treatment plants.
- Outer diameter = 29mm (1.15in): Suitable for water tanks with no volume restrictions, etc.
The German E+H level transmitter is based on the principle that the hydrostatic pressure of the measured liquid is proportional to its height. It uses an isolated diffused silicon sensitive element or a ceramic capacitor pressure-sensitive sensor to convert hydrostatic pressure into an electrical signal, which is then converted into a standard electrical signal (usually 4–20mA/1–5VDC) through temperature compensation and linear correction.
The German E+H level transmitter is suitable for level measurement of various media in systems and industries such as petrochemicals, metallurgy, electric power, pharmaceuticals, water supply and drainage, and environmental protection. Its compact structure, simple calibration, and flexible installation provide convenience for users. Standard signal output modes such as 4–20mA, 0–5V, and 0–10mA can be selected by users as needed.
The two-wire level transmitter of German E+H consists of a special gas-conducting cable with a built-in capillary hose, a pressure-resistant joint, and a probe. The probe of the hydrostatic level transmitter is constructed as a stainless steel cylinder core with a diaphragm at the bottom, covered by a perforated plastic housing. The level measurement of the hydrostatic level transmitter actually measures the difference between the liquid hydrostatic pressure on the probe and the actual atmospheric pressure, which is then converted into a 4–20mA output signal by a ceramic sensor (attached to a stainless steel membrane) and electronic components.
